MOBIO THE ARTIST
Mobio is a recognized pianist among his peers with a career that has spanned 25 years. Born in Côte d’Ivoire, Mobio is the result of a union of language, culture, and continents.
He began his musical career as a percussionist in a choir in his native country before discovering that he had a passion for piano. Since then, he has dedicated himself to nurturing his talent and developing his career as a professional keyboardist.
Mobio immigrated to Montreal, Quebec and quickly began to make a name for himself in the music scene. In 2002, he became the resident keyboardist for platinum recording artist, Jean Leloup, touring and recording albums with him.
His musical collaborations are extensive. Mobio has toured with internationally renowned artists throughout Africa, Europe, and North and South America. These artistic synergies have allowed Mobio to refine his craft, discovering and fashioning his musical identity.
The sum and richness of these experiences serves as the catalyst for his first solo album as a singer-songwriter.
My debut album as a solo artist : Passeport
Passeport… a document that confirms my identity and my cultural nationalities.
Passeport… a way to highlight the kaleidoscope of my life and what inspires me.
Passeport… a calling card.
Passeport will be my first album as a solo artist. On this album, I intend to reveal myself completely, and for the first time, take the spotlight. This album will be dynamic in nature and inspired by the rhythms of world music.
Instead of any pre-defined musical genre, I will allow my musical influences to coalesce and create incredible new sounds. Rhythm is at the core of every one of my compositions as it is what transports us and allows us to connect and become one musically. Music is the great equalizer as the spirit of a song, an album, permits us all to be able to dance and sing from the heart.
Through Passeport, my goal is for you to discover my rhythm and soul.
Passeport will be soon released.

His personal philosophy can be summed up with the saying “Never try, never know.”: nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Leveraging his years of experience as a highly respected musician, Mobio launched a career as a producer after being mentored by Brian Quaye. Through this musical transition, Mobio participated in the production of several album projects for local artists, sometimes taking the role of producers. Among artists involved in those projects, we should mention Jean Leloup, Zal Sissokho, Wesli, Chaki Adam, and Carine au Micro.
Inspired by his exposure to numerous musical styles, Mobio continues to produce projects for a variety of musical artists that span the cultural landscape, from burgeoning artists to world renown performers.
He his adept at showcasing each artist’s unique musical style, allowing them to refine their work and fulfill their artistic potential. In doing so, they in turn can explore, express, and expand who they are, through music.
